Dear,
we are preparing to live the annual membership proposal in our association paths! We have, as every year, the opportunity to tell everyone how the experience of Catholic Action has the ability to make us live by looking at the wider horizon that opens up in front of us, with the missionary enthusiasm that pushes us to meet to everyone and leave no one behind.
In the last year and a half, the pandemic experience has particularly marked our communities and our territories and has called the whole association to reschedule activities and proposals, following the logic of activating processes and abandoning what has always been done this way.
È importante, da parte vostra, promuovere durante tutto l'anno l'adesione all'Ac, ma allo stesso tempo dedicare attenzione particolare alla celebrazione della Festa dell’Adesione, che celebreremo l' 8 dicembre nella nostra Basilica di San Barnaba Apostolo durante la messa comunitaria delle ore 11,00, occasione preziosa per ricordare e raccontare la bellezza e il significato della nostra scelta associativa. Certo non mancherà l'impegno e la creatività di ciascuno nel riempire di significato l'intero cammino e questa particolare giornata.
Grazie per l’impegno con cui ancora una volta vi prendete a cuore la vita delle persone, dell’Ac e della Chiesa anche attraverso l’adesione.

We are an association of lay people committed to living the experience of faith, the proclamation of the Gospel and the call to holiness, each one "according to his own measure" and in a community form. We believe that it is only right and possible to educate each other in responsibility, in a personal and community journey of human and Christian formation. We want to be attentive, as individuals and as a community, to the growth of the people we meet and who have been entrusted to us; we are convinced that even in this complex history God is present with his love and continues to be close to every woman and every man to attract them towards a project of a full and happy humanity.
La formazione è stata da sempre il cuore del nostro servizio: nei gruppi di Azione Cattolica si impara, alla scuola della Parola di Dio e del magistero della Chiesa, a prendere familiarità con il mistero di Dio, a vivere da discepoli del Signore e ad amare la Chiesa. Prendere la “forma di Cristo” è la premessa per vivere con più slancio e autenticità una missione concreta tra gli uomini e le donne del nostro tempo, fondata sul servizio attento e creativo in tutti gli ambienti di vita, specialmente quelli più ordinari e feriali.
The parish is the place where normally CA people find the point of reference for their life and their service; however, it is not the dimension in which we confine ourselves to feel safer: our "border" is the world and the diocesan Church is the portion of the territory in which as the people of God we gather around our Shepherd and commit ourselves to live our lay vocation by working and collaborating with Pastors.
Il mandato dell'Azione Cattolica si esprime nell'esercitare in maniera corresponsabile la propria vocazione all'interno delle singole Chiese locali.
Ogni associazione diocesana contribuisce, dunque, alla vita dell'associazione nazionale a partire dalla propria esperienza associativa.
Il livello regionale ha il compito di favorire il collegamento tra le realtà diocesane presenti nella regione ecclesiastica.
L’Azione Cattolica fin da principio ha scelto di rispondere alla vocazione missionaria, mettendosi a servizio della vigna del Signore nelle singole Chiese locali. Il nostro servizio alla Chiesa si esprime nella scelta di stare in maniera corresponsabile nelle diocesi e nelle parrocchie. Vogliamo costruire percorsi di comunione con le altre aggregazioni laicali, in fedeltà a quanto il Concilio ha chiesto a tutti i laici.

That of Catholic Action is a story that begins long ago. Telling it also means telling the history of the Church and of Italy over the last one hundred and fifty years. It is a story, in fact, that is intertwined with the lives of thousands of men and women, who in this long period have worked with passion and fidelity, serving the Church and helping to build the country in which we live. Today, Catholic Action is present in all the dioceses of the country, in almost 7,000 parishes, has about 300,000 adherents, a figure that doubles if we count not only the members but all those who regularly participate in the activities of the association, whether they are adults. , young people or teenagers. Today, therefore, we are collecting an inheritance, a precious treasure handed to us by men and women, witnesses of the Gospel, who have been able to fully be interpreters of the signs of the times.
